The ECA Backs CNCI ® Certification
Tue 16 Feb 2016

Leading trade association for the electro technical systems sector, The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA), is fully supporting CNet Training’s Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI ®) program, the new certification for network cable installers.
Global network infrastructure industry education experts CNet Training committed over £2 million and worked with leading network infrastructure organisations across the UK to develop the CNCI ® certification. It has since been fully embraced and approved by major industry organisations (installers, manufacturers and consultants), who are specifying it as the official certification for their teams. Having this accolade from the industry itself confirms that this is a welcomed change and one that is positively impacting the industry. Plus, now with endorsement from The ECA, electrical professionals can feel confident that they can positively enhance their existing skills into network cable installation with a recognised and industry approved certification.
The ECA is the UK’s leading body for electrical and building services contractors. Steve Martin, ECA Head of Specialist Groups at ECA said: “The ECA backs the CNCI ® certification program and will continue to work closely with CNet Training to influence, support and represent this important and growing network cable installation sector.”
Steve is highly impressed with the CNCI ® program: “The CNCI ® program provides a high standard of learning and working practices as required by today’s network cabling professional. This enables contractors to demonstrate their competence, apply the appropriate standards and offer a good level of assurance to their clients.”
The CNCI ® certification has been warmly welcomed by major industry organisations. Steve Martin adds: “The program also facilitates entry to most leading manufacture partner programs, providing the fundamental knowledge and skill base without the need for further duplication of training, reducing the cost burden to ECA members.”
Andrew Stevens, CEO of CNet Training comments, “We are delighted that The ECA has decided to endorse the CNCI® certification. It’s another big step towards both the network cable infrastructure and electro technical industries realising the importance of, and benefiting from, standardised network cable installer certification. With on-going certified knowledge, it will deliver sustained quality and a more confident future.”
