Salesforce to open first UK data centre in 2014

3/3/14  – Leading cloud application company Salesforce.com is making what it calls a “further increase” to its commitment to Europe with the announcement of three data centres and 500 new jobs.

Speaking at the announcement of a 41% growth in European revenue, Miguel Milano, president, EMEA, salesforce.com, said: “Our tremendous growth and customer momentum is why salesforce.com is significantly increasing its investment in Europe by adding 500 new jobs and opening three new data centres across Europe, in the U.K., France and Germany.”

Salesforce.com plans to open its first data centre in the UK in August 2014, with additional data centres to follow in France and Germany in 2015.
