Hear from the brightest and best technology suppliers

Thu 12 Apr 2018

The 2018 edition of Cloud Expo Europe, Cloud Security Expo, Smart IoT, Big Data World and Data Centre World gave visitors the chance to meet and speak with some of the brightest and best supplier and providers in the entire technology ecosystem.

With the supplier exhibition containing many of the most innovative, fast-moving and exciting technology providers, delegates were able to inform their buying decisions by assessing the very best in products, services and offerings that are at the cutting edge of the industry.

Many of these providers took the chance to release new and exciting features and products. These ranged from the uninterruptible power supplies that keep data centres online, cloud software for the enterprise, through to IoT enabled applications that are pushing the smart workforce of the future.

Research from Gartner shows just how important it is for IT decision makers to understand their market. With the research firm anticipating that global IT spending will hit more than £2 trillion in 2018, it is clearly big business. That’s why it’s more important than ever that those with access to the budgets are able to see the latest tech and speak to suppliers, all in one place.

There is also an ever-increasing level of cohesion between different technologies. Data centres that fuel cloud services, for instance, are becoming more and more controlled by cloud-based applications.

Technologies that once existed in siloes now feed into each other – whether it’s the Internet of Things improving processes, big data helping us understand the way we live, work and buy, or the security services that keep this information safe – the whole industry is irreversibly intertwined.

Ultimately, however, it’s about the people. People that buy for their organisations, people that create solutions – whether it’s electrical engineers, DevOps teams, data scientists, facilities managers or academic researchers – they are all connected and are behind the technologies that we use every day.

If you weren’t able to speak to some of the suppliers on the exhibition floor at the ExCel in March, don’t worry – you can catch up with them here in our series of exclusive videos with some of Europe’s best technology suppliers.
