Cloud storage solution shows Promise with more to come

Storage specialist Promise Technology has launched a solution that enables businesses to create their own scalable private cloud storage service.

Speaking at the launch at a cloud event in Tokyo, James Lee, the CEO of Promise Technology said FileCruiser is the first step of Promise’s plan to introduce a line up of innovative cloud solutions that addresses the rapidly expanding data storage needs of businesses and organisations. “Our broad portfolio of storage solutions enables users to expand their capabilities, whether they require a robust cloud infrastructure or innovative applications,” he said.

FileCruiser includes enterprise file synchronisation and sharing (EFSS) features and a hardware platform aimed a range of vertical markets such as education, healthcare, IT and public sector. A spokesman said it will “expand its lineup of high-density storage offerings to include a new family of object storage solutions, designed to provide optimal TCO (total cost of ownership) and seamless migration to the next generation of data storage.
