AccelStor presents high-availability NeoSapphire all-flash storage

Mon 26 Mar 2018

UK company AccelStor has unveiled new, high-availability NeoSapphire all-flash storage models.

AccelStor NeoSapphire all-flash arrays (AFAs) are structured to maximize storage capacity for use in big data applications including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, as well as supporting virtualization and private cloud.

The new generation all-flash storage arrays are a high-availability series, which according to the company, provides full redundancy and 99.9999% reliability.  This level of availability is possible due to the symmetric active-active, clustered shared-nothing architecture (SNA).

More important to AI applications, the NeoSapphire all-flash array has fast processing speeds and storage capacity maximization for data-intensive applications. The array features AccelStor’s FlexiRemap software, with speeds of over 1 million IOPS for 4KB random access. Additionally, it can deliver a 5:1 data reduction ratio using space efficiency and inline deduplication technologies, with a scalable capacity of up to 1.2 PB.

David Kao, Vice President of AccelStor, noted that and that storage hardware and software often do not work in tandem, causing performance issues, particularly as big data and AI technologies become more prevalent. “AccelStor NeoSapphire all-flash arrays eliminate the bottleneck, helping customers fully leverage data analytics to create a competitive edge for their business,” he said.

NeoSapphire AFAs are secure, with support for self-encrypting drives and free data protection including snapshot, backup and replication, all of which are required for GDPR compliance.

Earlier this month, AccelStor signed an agreement with ASBIS Enterprises, to sell AccelStor NeoSapphire AFAs throughout the EMEA region. The partnership is focused on providing data centre and cloud infrastructure solutions for the telecommunications industry, as well as for government agencies. Last November, the company also partnered with SKILLINE to distribute NeoSapphire AFAs in Russia. AccelStor products will be offered to SKILLINE clients which include government, military, education, banking and telecommunications leaders throughout Russia.

Founded in 2014, AccelStor is working to become a global leader in software-defined all-flash arrays.
