Spanish telecom giant Telefonica is selling off its cell tower portfolio to American Tower in a €7.7 billion euro deal. American Tower will take ownership of the 30,700 tower sites in Spain, Germany, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Argentina held by Telefonica unit Telxius Telecom.
NASA has selected European communications giant Nokia to build the first-ever mobile network on the Moon as part of a wider initiative to improve technology access on the lunar surface.

EE has announced the expansion of its 5G network to 14 new towns and cities, including Liverpool, Glasgow and Huddersfield for the first time.
