VIRTUS Data Centres appoints Michael Dada as new managing director for European expansion

VIRTUS Data Centres, part of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres Group and known for its pure-play data centre operations, has announced the appointment of Michael Dada as Managing Director for its German operations.

This strategic appointment underscores VIRTUS’ vision for European expansion, highlighted by the development of the Wustermark Data Centre Campus and the expansion of the VIRTUS Marienpark Campus.

Michael Dada to Lead Expansion in Europe

Michael Dada, who joined VIRTUS in January 2024, brings extensive experience in data centre management and operations. Tasked with leading VIRTUS’ expansion in Germany, Michael’s role encompasses overseeing business activities ranging from expansions and sales to data centre design, construction, and operations.

Neil Cresswell, CEO of VIRTUS, said: “Michael’s leadership will play a pivotal role as we strengthen our presence across the territory. Michael Dada will focus on delivering sustainable and resilient data centre solutions that meet the industry’s evolving demands.

Before his tenure at VIRTUS, Michael Dada made significant contributions to CBRE, where he played a crucial role in establishing and expanding the company’s data centre consultancy services in Germany.

Michael’s academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Geography from the University of Münster and an MBA from the University of Applied Sciences in Biberach.
