Press Release

Version 1 acquires Farsight Consulting

Wed 17 Apr 2024

Digital transformation company, Version 1, has announced it has acquired UK-based Farsight Consulting for an undisclosed amount.

Version 1 said Farsight Consulting is known for delivering successful digital transformation projects across the public sector. This strategic move adds around £17 million ($21.2 million) in revenue and an additional 133 people, marking a significant milestone in Version 1’s growth strategy.

The digital transformation company already partners with Farsight on several long-scale Government projects. Version 1 said Farsight will bring additional skills to the company through analysis and research, creative problem-solving, and user-centred design, with the ability to design, create and transform digital services in complex areas.

Version 1 CEO Tom O’Connor highlighted that the acquisition combines talent, experience, and expertise experienced in collaborative projects with Farsight Consulting.

“Farsight operates a closely matched model to ours, so we will be able to quickly realise the synergies and pass on the benefits straight away to our customers. We look forward with anticipation to making this happen,” said O’Connor.

Founder and Chairman at Farsight, Pete Masters, said Version 1 has demonstrated similar commitments to developing people and providing quality services to users.

“Our combined efforts will accelerate our mission which has always been to solve complex problems in a way that makes a real difference to users and society.  We are proud of what we have achieved so far and by combining our capabilities, we think we can achieve even more together,” said Masters.

The deal is subject to clearance by the National Security and Investment Act 2021.
