Wed 29 Nov 2023

ServiceNow has announced a five-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Starting in early 2024, ServiceNow’s Platform and its complete suite of solutions will be accessible as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering in the AWS Marketplace. This partnership also entails the joint development and launch of industry-specific, AI-powered applications.

The integration of ServiceNow’s platform with AWS’s cloud capabilities is expected to foster optimised performance, agility, and more efficient infrastructure management.

Paul Fipps, President of Strategic Accounts at ServiceNow, said: “By entering into an SCA with AWS, we are taking another major step in accelerating end-to-end business transformation. Our new SaaS platform on AWS and our co-developed solutions are an integral part of our efforts to help customers put AI to work for their business.”

Initial focus areas of the partnership will include manufacturing, supply chain, call centers, and cloud transformation, where the companies plan to apply their generative AI engineering expertise to develop new automation applications.

ServiceNow and AWS, which serves approximately 85% of the Fortune 500, have a history of developing integrated solutions. Examples include AI Call Center Solutions combining ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) with Amazon Connect, and Cloud Transformation Solutions integrating ServiceNow’s platform for comprehensive cloud workload visibility.

The companies are also collaborating with a leading automotive manufacturer to innovate using ServiceNow’s AI capabilities and AWS’s AI services. This includes developing automotive manufacturing solutions that manage vehicle data from production to repair, and supply chain solutions integrating AWS Supply Chain with ServiceNow’s service management tools for more efficient supply chain management.
