Ridge acquires data centre consultancy firm Concert

Property and construction consultancy company, Ridge, has acquired London-based consultancy firm, Concert. This move is aimed at accelerating its presence in the data centre sector and enhancing its operations in the London market.
Over the past three years, Ridge has experienced considerable growth, with its workforce increasing from 500 to 1,100 and fee income rising from £55 million in 2020 to a projected £110 million in 2023.
Adrian O’Hickey, Senior Partner at Ridge, said: “This acquisition is the next stage in our growth strategy. Concert is well established in two of our target growth sectors: data centres and commercial. Their talented team bring a depth and range of additional knowledge, skills, and relationships. This acquisition will also strengthen our offering in the competitive London market.”
Concert’s established reputation in the data centre sector, with a history dating back to 1974, includes working on high-profile projects for clients such as Ark Data Centres, CyrusOne, Colt DCS, Green Mountain, and Form8tion. In the commercial sector, the company has maintained relationships with clients including JPMorgan and Nuveen.
The acquisition, which involved 100% purchase of Concert and its subsidiaries, was completed on 3 November 2023. Concert will continue to operate under its current brand, with a phased integration into Ridge’s structure planned for 2024.
