OVHcloud expands SecNumCloud strategy to new data centre in France
Press Release by OVHcloud Thu 11 Jan 2024
OVHcloud has announced the expansion of its SecNumCloud products with a new dedicated zone in its data centre based in Gravelines, France.
This latest development complements existing zones in Roubaix and Strasbourg, and is designed to host the Group’s SecNumCloud certified Hosted Private Cloud solution.
SecNumCloud 3.2 Qualification
The OVHcloud Private Cloud solutions have achieved the SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification from the French Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI).
This qualification underscores OVHcloud’s commitment to the highest standard of security and data protection against advanced cyberattacks.
For industries and administrations, where the cloud plays a pivotal role in innovation and hosts a wide variety of data, the need for trusted cloud services has become increasingly critical.
OVHcloud has also achieved certifications such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, C5 in Germany, ENS in Spain, and AGID in Italy. For sensitive sectors like healthcare, OVHcloud provides services meeting the Health Data Hosting (HDS) certification requirements.
Meeting the Growing Demand for Trusted Cloud Services
OVHcloud’s expanding SecNumCloud portfolio caters to both public administrations and private organisations, particularly in finance, banking, health, and cybersecurity.
Over 80 customers use OVHcloud’s SecNumCloud qualified Private Cloud solutions, positioning the company to support organisations in modernizing their IT infrastructure in line with the Cloud at the Center doctrine established by France in 2021.
Michel Paulin, CEO of OVHcloud, said: “Our long-standing commitment to the SecNumCloud qualification … is a vibrant testimony of this continued support aiming at offering a trusted cloud for our ecosystem.”
Paulin emphasised the company’s massive investments in providing the highest data protection standards against extraterritorial laws.
SecNumCloud Roadmap and Commitment to Sustainability
In addition to the new data centre and the SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification, OVHcloud is accelerating its SecNumCloud roadmap with an upcoming Bare Metal offer and plans to extend the qualification to its Public Cloud portfolio.
OVHcloud is also preparing for the European Union Certification Scheme (EUCS) certification, ensuring high protection against extraterritorial laws to cloud users at a European level.
