LiquidStack Expands Leadership Team with Key C-Suite Appointments

LiquidStack, a company specialising in advanced liquid cooling solutions, has expanded its leadership team to support the company’s rapid growth.
Ersson Zapata has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of LiquidStack. He joins the company from CSMi Solutions, where he also held the position of Chief Operating Officer and successfully drove significant growth in the bottom line. With extensive experience in managing large-scale operations in both the technology and manufacturing sectors, he will oversee LiquidStack’s global operations and supply chain.

Strengthening Financial Strategy for Global Growth
Mike Tapp has joined LiquidStack as the Chief Financial Officer. He brings decades of experience in financial leadership, having held previous roles at Energy Spectrum Capital, Edgewater (backed by Goldman Sachs), and Quantum Loophole.
Tapp has also served as a fractional CFO for various companies in the data centre, infrastructure, technology, and energy sectors. Tapp will focus on enhancing LiquidStack’s financial strategy and positioning the company for its next phase of global expansion.
Driving Innovation with New R&D Leadership
The company has announced the promotion of Ed King to Chief Innovation Officer. Previously the Senior Vice President of Operations, King has played a key role in enhancing LiquidStack’s supply chain and expanding its manufacturing presence in the US. In his new position, he will lead the development of next-generation liquid cooling technology designed to meet the growing demands of advanced computing, storage, and networking technologies, as well as exploring new frontiers and applications for thermal management.

Scaling to Meet Surging Demand
The leadership announcements follow a period of record growth and product innovation for LiquidStack. Recent momentum includes the launch of the GigaModular™ CDU—the industry’s first scalable, modular coolant distribution unit with up to 10MW of cooling capacity, as well as the opening of LiquidStack’s second U.S. manufacturing facility in Carrollton, Texas, to meet rising demand.
