Kosli joins FINOS to support standardisation of DevOps controls

Kosli has joined the Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS), the financial services arm of the Linux Foundation, to contribute to industry-wide efforts in standardising DevOps controls and change management.

FINOS fosters open-source collaboration in banking and finance, aiming to create shared frameworks that improve security, compliance, and innovation.

Regulatory requirements in financial services place significant demands on software delivery teams, who must balance speed with strict governance. Many organisations have developed internal automation solutions, but the lack of standardisation has led to inconsistencies across the sector. Through its involvement with FINOS, Kosli aims to help establish best practices that enable compliance without hindering development agility.

“Financial institutions operate under some of the world’s most demanding regulatory frameworks. We believe compliance should be as transparent as infrastructure deployment, where every change is automatically tracked and verifiable. Joining FINOS allows us to work alongside industry leaders to create open, collaborative solutions that simplify and improve compliance processes,” added Long.

Kosli’s contributions will focus on defining common software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) controls, supporting automated compliance frameworks, and developing shared audit and regulatory documentation standards. Key areas of collaboration include:

Standardised design patterns for automated controls in software pipelines
Best practices for change management automation
Common specifications for audit trails and regulatory reporting
Reference implementations demonstrating real-world applications
