Involta launches SecurePower Colocation under leadership of Gabriel Unruh

Thu 1 Feb 2024

Data centre service provider Involta has launched Involta SecurePower Colocation, designed to support mission-critical enterprise IT workloads.

Led by Gabriel Unruh, the newly appointed Senior Director of Product, this initiative marks a strategic expansion of Involta’s offerings, catering to industries such as high-tech, manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services.

A New Era of Colocation Services

Involta SecurePower Colocation represents a re-envisioned colocation model that provides custom, scalable data centre infrastructure with embedded industry-leading power, security, and connectivity services across its 13 U.S. facilities.

This model introduces a unique pricing strategy, charging per kW instead of cabinet space, which aligns with customer usage and promotes scalability.

Brett Lindsey, CEO of Involta, said: “Colocation has been our flagship product since 2007, and this new model allows us to meet enterprises where they are now.”

Gabriel Unruh, with his background in startups, technology, healthcare, and finance, brings a wealth of experience in growth strategies for digital infrastructure companies.

“I’m honored to join the Involta team at such a pivotal time,” said Unruh.

He expressed his enthusiasm for leading the team towards strengthening and expanding Involta’s core products and services to meet the evolving needs of enterprises.

The launch of Involta SecurePower Colocation and the appointment of Gabriel Unruh come amidst the company’s ongoing expansion efforts, including the development of a 20MW enterprise colocation campus in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
