Hornetsecurity Group has announced the incorporation of Vade, a French email cybersecurity entity known for analysing over 2.5 billion messages daily.

This union aims to fortify Hornetsecurity’s position as a leading cybersecurity service provider across Europe, emphasising data sovereignty alongside cloud, compliance, and digital communication security services.

Strategic Union Enhancing Cloud Cybersecurity

In the evolving landscape of cyber threats and burgeoning use of cloud business solutions, the need for adaptable cloud security solutions is more critical than ever.

This collaboration looks to extend Hornetsecurity’s offerings, including backup, permission management, and AI-driven security enhancements.

Daniel Hofmann, CEO of Hornetsecurity, expressed enthusiasm about the integration, highlighting it as a significant step towards becoming the global leader in Microsoft 365 security services.

“While we will of course retain and strengthen our pan-European focus, we are committed to further investment in the French channel market,” Hofmann said.

Daniel Blank, COO of Hornetsecurity, and Georges Lotigier, CEO of Vade, both echoed the sentiment of shared values and commitment to enhancing global cybersecurity.

Blank underscored the shared channel-first approach.

“Both Hornetsecurity and Vade embrace the same values and share a genuine commitment to safeguarding global organisations, enabling them to concentrate on their core strengths,” said Blank.

Lotigier viewed the merger as a natural progression for Vade, aligning with a partner that shares its vision and culture.

“By joining Hornetsecurity, we will pursue and accelerate this commitment by helping to deliver a wider array of top-tier solutions to the ever-expanding cybersecurity market in Europe and worldwide,” said Lotigier.

Future Plans and Leadership Integration

The merger broadens the product offerings and strengthens the Group’s presence in the French market through Vade’s extensive channel network.

Anticipated 2024 expansions include the launch of additional products via Vade’s data centre, offering attractive product combinations, including the comprehensive 365 Total Protection service.

Post-transaction, Vade’s leadership team has taken up various management roles within Hornetsecurity, with Georges Lotigier joining the supervisory board.

This strategic alignment is supported by PSG Equity, TA Associates, and Verdane. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
