Grey Matter, a leading Microsoft specialist and long-standing partner, has this year launched a new Azure cost management and optimisation platform. This innovative tool is designed to help businesses proactively manage and forecast their cloud costs, identify opportunities for savings, and optimise their Azure environments.

This add-on delivers security insights and governance recommendations for Microsoft Azure resources based on the Zero Trust Framework. Reducing the risks of cyber threats and compliance issues across cloud infrastructure, data, applications, and identities.

An Azure Solutions Specialist at Grey Matter said they see ‘time and time again’ where clients believe they have robust security procedures in place, like MFA doe users, ‘but that is not always enough’.

“A real-life example is a client of ours who was targeted by crypto miners. They could not understand how they had gained access, all their users had MFA deployed. The miners accessed their environment by piggybacking off a Power BI workflow with admin access. A tool like our platform can give businesses oversight of what applications are deployed without protection so they can prevent scenarios like this from developing,” added the Azure Solutions Specialist at Grey Matter.
