GF Piping Systems leading-edge solutions for cooling mission-critical data centers at DCW London 2020
Press Release by GF Piping Systems Thu 20 Feb 2020
From cooling today’s data centres to creating the winning formula for energy efficiency, time to market and carbon neutrality, GF Piping Systems will showcase how its leading-edge technologies are available to transform the way data centres are planned, built and cooled.
At this year’s DCW London, GF Piping Systems will present its leading-edge plastic piping systems for cooling and water treatment including COOL-FIT 4.0, a revolutionary factory pre-insulated system with a 30% higher energy efficiency and GF’s pioneering prefabrication solutions for increased project deployment quality and efficiency.
The demands of higher capacity in every new Data Center are increasing parallel to the requirements of energy efficiency and sustainability. Hence the demands made on the cooling plant are also increasing accordingly, as 50% of the power usage and, therefore, energy costs in a data centre are from the cooling plant. Data Center owners have a high focus to reduce these costs while at the same time reducing its CO2 footprint. GF Piping Systems can help optimize the energy efficiency of the complete cooling plant with plastic piping systems. COOL-FIT which uses high-efficiency factory manufactured insulation can improve the heat transfer of the application by 25%.
“Our engineered plastic piping solutions for cooling applications are the result of years of pioneering innovation,” says Mark Bulmer, Global Market Development Data Centers. “GF Piping Systems provides owners and operators of data centres with a quicker set-up and more efficient and reliable operation during the entire service life of their projects.”
GF will also launch its new Data Center portal: a dedicated content portal for planners, owners, and project managers to assist them with valuable technical data to answer key engineering questions, an easy way to manage project documentation and a feed of trending topics of the Data Center industry.
Planners and installation technicians are under considerable time pressure when installing new plants and modernizing existing ones. The construction sites are often located in geographically remote areas, and local regulations regarding energy efficiency or water protection, for example, must be observed. Project delays often incur high contractual penalties and must, therefore, be strictly avoided. GF Piping Systems shortens the time from the planning stage to the commissioning employing offsite prefabrication of framed modules, which are simple and easy to install on-site. This means that projects can be executed cost-efficiently and to schedule.
Visit booth D525 where GF’s mission-critical cooling experts will provide live demonstration of plastic pipe welding through electrofusion and experience how fast and easy it is to make a long-lasting and reliable pipe connection with GF products.
