CyrusOne makes key executive appointments of Owen Morris, Emma Fryer, Jay Elms

CyrusOne has appointed Owen Morris as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective March 11, 2024.
Morris previously served as Treasurer of Tenet Healthcare and CFO at USPI, a subsidiary of Tenet. In his new role, Morris will lead CyrusOne’s global finance organisation, encompassing accounting, financial reporting, risk management, treasury, and strategic planning.
“There is a tremendous growth opportunity for CyrusOne given the strong industry tailwinds,” said Morris.

Morris, a University of Texas alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in history and government, also holds an MBA from Stanford Business School.
Emma Fryer Joins as Director of Public Policy
CyrusOne has also appointed Emma Fryer as Director of Public Policy, Europe. In this new role, Fryer will drive the company’s policy and external affairs across key European markets, including Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, and the UK.
Fryer, who joins from ERM, brings extensive experience in the data centre industry, particularly in sustainability and resilience. She has previously led data centre policy at techUK and managed the UK Council of Data Centre Operators.

Fryer’s notable achievements include negotiating a Data Centre Climate Change Agreement leading to a 30% improvement in infrastructure efficiency and securing ‘key worker’ status for data centre staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jay Elms Appointed Senior Vice President of Global Sales
In another significant move, CyrusOne has announced Jay Elms as its Senior Vice President of Global Sales.
Elms, who previously held a leadership role at NTT Global Data Centers Americas, will focus on driving strategic sales and building relationships with hyperscalers to support their growth.

Jay has a deep understanding of data centres and a strong sales background, and I know with his leadership we will strengthen our approach to growing and serving global customers in key markets,” said Brent Behrman, Chief Sales Officer at CyrusOne.
Before his tenure at NTT, Elms worked for over five years at Schneider Electric, Data Center Solutions, where he led a global team in sales, strategy, and business operations.
