Aston Martin F1 team partners with ServiceNow to enhance operations

Wed 8 Nov 2023

The Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team has announced ServiceNow as its official Intelligent Platform Partner.

ServiceNow solutions will be used to streamline operations at the AMR Technology Campus and will feature branding on the team’s cars, starting with the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Paul Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at ServiceNow, said: “We are thrilled to be [the] ‘team behind the team’, as they continue their quest to be one of most technologically innovative sports teams on and off the racetrack.”

Organisations today are focusing their digital strategies on platforms that deliver quick and strategic value. With ambitions to become the most innovative team in racing, Aston Martin is aligning with ServiceNow to automate and connect its operations, bringing together people, processes, data, and technology.

At their AMR Technology Campus in Silverstone, Aston Martin will leverage ServiceNow’s expertise to drive efficiencies and improve decision-making across the organisation.

Jefferson Slack, Managing Director of Commercial and Marketing at Aston Martin, said: “There are a number of incredible opportunities to showcase the two global brands together as our partnership takes further shape into the 2024 F1 season.”

ServiceNow will assist Aston Martin in various areas, including automating IT and facilities requests, streamlining employee experiences, and enhancing reporting and dashboard capabilities. These enhancements aim to support the team in building the fastest and most advanced F1 cars.

Employees will be able to access the platform via a mobile app, so they can make requests and report incidents wherever they are working; from the middle of the pit garage or on the factory floor.

Clare Lansley, Chief Information Officer at Aston Martin, said: ““ServiceNow’s understanding and ability to refine processes and integrate systems across the whole business will give us an invaluable advantage as we work to refine our new Technology Campus into a race, and ultimately, championship-winning operation.”
