Mistral Launches Le Chat Enterprise Amid Revenue Surge and Global Expansion

French startup Mistral AI has released Le Chat Enterprise, a new version of its AI assistant tailored specifically for business use.

The announcement follows a period of rapid growth, with the company reporting a threefold increase in revenue over the past 100 days, particularly in markets outside the US.

The chatbot, initially introduced in open-source form earlier this year, now features integration with corporate platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint, Google Drive, and OneDrive, enabling document-based query handling and enterprise knowledge management.

Flexible Deployment for Data Sovereignty

A key feature of the Mistral Le Chat Enterprise is its flexible hosting options. Organisations can choose to run the assistant on Mistral’s infrastructure, in a private cloud, or on-premise, giving businesses full control over their data and infrastructure.

This move aligns with growing demand in Europe for AI services that meet stringent data privacy regulations and reduce reliance on US-based hyperscalers.

Business Momentum: Revenue Tripled in 100 Days

Mistral has seen rapid growth since its founding in 2023, and is now valued at £4.4 billion ($6 billion). While the company has not disclosed exact revenue figures, industry reports estimate 2024 revenue at approximately £22.4 million ($30 million). The company says the bulk of its recent growth has come from European and international markets, though US demand is also rising.

Integrations and Features for Corporate Use

Le Chat Enterprise has been designed with corporate productivity in mind. It offers:

• Connectors for Microsoft SharePoint, Google Drive, and OneDrive

• Enterprise search across document libraries

• Custom AI agent development (no-code)

• Role-based access control and monitoring

The product is already available via the Google Cloud Marketplace, with Azure AI and AWS Bedrock integrations planned.

Powered by Mistral Medium 3

The new assistant runs on Mistral Medium 3, the company’s latest large language model. It supports multiple languages and is optimised for business-critical tasks such as data analysis, coding, and automated content generation.

The company claims that its model delivers industry-leading performance for the price, further strengthening its appeal to cost-conscious enterprise buyers.
