Leading experts from Google, Arup, and VIRTUS among judges for 2024 Data Centre World Awards

An impressive panel of judges has been unveiled for the Data Centre World Awards 2024, featuring industry leaders from Google, Arup, VIRTUS Data Centres, and many more.

The Data Centre World Awards, taking place on 6 March 2024 at ExCeL London, honour exceptional contributions, innovations, and operations within the data centre industry. Entries are set to close on 30 November 2023.

Meet the 2024 Judging Panel

The full Data Centre World Awards judging panel for 2024 includes a diverse range of experts from various sectors, all of whom are advocates for sustainability, efficient design, and innovation.

Mike Goodwin, Practising Consultant Engineer at Dunwoody LLP, said, “This is a great opportunity for all to show and share their successes at the biggest data centre gathering in Europe. I and the other judges are looking forward to reviewing this year’s submissions.”

New Award Categories for 2024

Two new categories have been introduced for the 2024 awards:

  • The Data Centre Security Award: Recognising exceptional efforts in safeguarding data centre environments against evolving security threats.
  • The Best Reuse or Recycling of Products, Energy, or Data Centre Infrastructure Award: Celebrating those who have ingeniously minimised waste and extended the lifecycle of resources.

Astrid Wynne Rogers, Sustainability Lead at Techbuyer, shared her enthusiasm: “It’s great to have the inside scoop on the best upcoming sustainability innovations for the data centre sector.”

Last year’s accolades went to EkkoSense, Vantage Data Centres, CSC IOT Centre for Science, Interact, ICTS, and UTC Heathrow and Partners. Could your organisation be next to join these esteemed ranks?
