In a Series C funding round, endpoint management company NinjaOne raised £396 million ($500 million) to reach a £3.9 billion ($5 billion) valuation. Led by Iconiq Growth and Google’s CapitalG investment fund, the investment round values NinjaOne at more than double its previous £1.5 billion ($1.9 billion) valuation last year.

At a time when endpoint security is growing increasingly important, as large numbers of staff work away from traditional offices, NinjaOne is helping support cybersecurity by securing endpoints across a range of devices. With more than 24,000 customers, NinjaOne counts NVIDIA, Lyft, The King’s Trust and Porsche as clients.

“We are investing in innovation across our platform with a vision to make endpoint and patch management as easy and autonomous as possible while continuing to expand into other AI, IT, and security use cases,” said Sferlazza, CEO and co-founder at NinjaOne.

Sferlazza added endpoints are the backbone of organisations today, with the firm believing that in the coming years providing products that support the user and their devices will be critical to making their customers successful.

Besides funding investment in autonomous endpoint security and boosting customer service, part of the funding will be used to pay for NinjaOne’s purchase of cloud data protection firm Dropsuite. The ongoing shift to remote work and hybrid work is helping drive the need for powerful endpoint security to protect against cyber criminals and hackers.

According to Derek Zanutto, General Partner at CapitalG, an investor in NinjaOne, the prioritising of results for customers and partners, in addition to a solid culture and leadership, is why he believes NinjaOne is one of the strongest IT software companies in the world.

“Endpoints are nearly impossible to manage across the enterprise, and CapitalG is committed to helping NinjaOne and its customers succeed where others have failed,” added Zanutto.
