Spanish company Jobandtalent has received $500 million in equity funding for its “workforce marketplace” solution. Founded in 2009, the company uses AI to match workers with open temporary positions, promising consistent work opportunities and professional stability.

The $500 million in equity funding was led by investment company Kinnevik and SoftBank VisionFund 2. The company also received an additional $75 million in debt financing from multinational investment leader Blackrock.

Jobandtalent is now valued at $2.35 billion.

The new investment will be used to expand into key markets, including doubling down on its recent investment in penetrating the labor market in the U.S. The company also plans to grow its sales team, technology teams, and executive roles in Europe and the U.S.

Juan Urdiales, co-founder and CEO of Jobandtalent elaborated on the key value statement for the company, stating, “With temporary working increasingly becoming the norm, the opportunity to help workers find reliable, consistent jobs is growing by the day. The Jobandtalent platform has found the right roles at the right companies for more than 100,000 workers in the first 9 months of 2021 alone, providing them with the benefits and security of full-time employment.”

“We are excited to accelerate the expansion of our team and grow our presence in both new and existing markets – helping more workers find the jobs they want and helping businesses fill the roles they need.”

The Jobandtalent platform supports workers as they apply for temporary positions, submit paperwork, and even get paid. Jobandtalent offers a fresh perspective on temporary, seasonal, and contract placement, replacing back-office functions for both the client and the standard temp agency.

By providing stability, compensation and benefits for the workers that rely on contract and seasonal work for their livelihoods, Jobandtalent is filling a critical workforce gap. Jobandtalent is active in nine countries across the globe, including Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Sweden and the UK in Europe; and Mexico, Colombia and the U.S. across the pond.
