Paul Copping is a Smart Cities Advisor in the Digital Greenwich team, serving the Royal Borough of Greenwich, population 270,000. He is developing integrated technology solutions that will result in more agile, cheaper services for Greenwich citizens. He joined Greenwich in September 2014 after seven years at the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL Ltd) and over twenty years in the international telecoms industry, including BT and Nortel Networks, where he was Vice President Corporate Development. He has specialist knowledge of IoT and M2M applications in smart cities, social care, intelligent transport solutions, robotics and autonomous vehicles. Paul has an MBA in Marketing from Cass Business School, sponsored by BT, and an MA in Modern and Mediaeval Languages, from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
