Oliver is an entrepreneur and academic in the field of integrating bionics with the human body. Oliver currently holds joint positions at the University of Cambridge Engineering Department as a researcher and at Cambridge Bio-Augmentation Systems as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer. Oliver’s professional work focuses on the integration between man & machine on a tissue level, to allow for stable long-term integration and control of advanced robotic/electronic technology with the mechanical/neural systems of the body. Currently Cambridge Bio-Augmentation Systems is focused on improving the lives of amputees by making advanced bionic devices accessible to the mass market. His work has been featured in various international scientific & business forums and conferences; in popular science media, on Channel 4 & multiple radio broadcasts in the UK; and even at St James’s palace to a distinguished list of business leaders, organised by the Duke of York.
