Michael Akinla joined Panduit over 20-years ago, initially within the technical systems division, EMEA. In 2019 he became Business Manager, Central Europe North working within the data centre and enterprise division, spearheading Panduit’s product initiatives in the region.
Michael Akinla has extensive experience in data centre infrastructure, telecommunications and structured cabling and has worked extensively to develop new market opportunities for Panduit’s market-leading fibre and copper cabling infrastructure and associated technologies. Michael Akinla continues to work closely with the technical group to align technology and customers’ business goals in solid, effective infrastructure solutions.
Data centre, enterprise and IoT (Internet of Things) continue to develop as markets for Panduit’s capabilities. Data centres, edge and enterprise energy efficiency is an increasingly important area of sustainable technology implementation and Michael Akinla is intrinsically involved in Panduit’s work with its customers on developing energy optimising strategies to simulate a site’s infrastructure energy requirements and support monitor these in real-time. Panduit’s holistic approach is helping many organisations design and build energy efficiency into their facilities.
Michael Akinla is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Environmental Science (1996) and established his technical sales and support credentials at Varian Analytical Instruments, where he worked for three years after leaving Sheffield University.
