Edith Mok

Edith has been in the ICT industry since the late 1960’s. She started with technical jobs earlier on. In the 1980’s and 1990’s, she was the IS Director/CIO for the Asia Pacific Region for Dow Chemical and AT&T. In her 23 years with Dow Chemical, she went through the localization, regionalization and globalization process using ICT as an enabler. In 1997, she was hit by a major stroke and retired from IT Director of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. In 2005, Edith was active again in the IT Professional Development work – in the Reciprocal Recognition of Professional Qualification (RRPQ) with HKIE and IT Professional Certification (CPIT) with HKCS. At present, she is the Chairperson of ICT and IT Consultant with several NGO’s. Additionally, she takes up leadership role in accessible transport and rehabilitation service with the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation using ICT as an enabler.
