He started his professional career as a telecommunications engineer, leading ICT projects in Germany and in Greece. He was also involved in technology and “green” programmes funded by the European Union for Small and Medium Enterprises. Since 2012 he is the coordinator of facilities management in the European Parliament being in charge for the operation of the Data Centres. He is devoted to reducing the carbon footprint of the DCs by applying an ambitious energy efficiency plan. He also participates in projects regarding the design and build of new DCs or refurbishing old ones.
