Ben Russell is the Head of Threat Response at the National Crime Agency’s Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU). The NCCU leads the UK’s law enforcement response to serious organised cyber crime, leading operations, supporting partners and coordinating the UK’s entire law enforcement cyber response. Ben is responsible for cyber intelligence, for designing and delivering the UK’s strategy for tackling cyber crime, and for outreach and partnerships, including with Government, Policing and academia in the UK and overseas.

Before the NCCU, he worked for the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency and Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre (CEOP) and, after graduating from the University of Cambridge, was Managing Director of a youth leadership charity and a volunteer ambulance medic.
