Adam Wray-Summerson leads Clarke Energy’s technical sales division, responsible for the development and delivery of sustainable, low‑carbon, and resilient energy solutions.
He graduated with a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Liverpool in 2008, before joining Clarke Energy, where he has held a range of roles spanning application design, technical sales, project development, and commercial functions, including a secondment to the US.
Throughout his career, Adam has played a key role in the development of specialist power generation and hybrid energy solutions across multiple regions, including the UK, Ireland, the US, and Africa. He has also led the company’s diversification into renewable technologies, driving growth in emerging markets such as battery energy storage, data centres, and hydrogen.
Adam is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and Chair of the Renewable Energy Association’s (REA) Data Centre Coalition.
Outside of work, Adam is a keen cyclist, former rugby player, dog walker, and proud “dance dad.”
